Crikey, that is cheap. Cheaper than the Wii and nearly half what Sony’s charging for a PlayStation3.

Of course, the new £159 refers to the entry level “Arcade” Xbox 360, which doesn’t come with a hard drive. But it does, fortunately, come with a 256MB memory card, so you’re still able to save your games. And a wireless controller. So you can play them…

Apple reveals gaming plans – Monkey Ball and Spore spearheading iPhone games push

Shown off last night at the iPhone SDK unveiling, here’s a look at SEGA’s legendary Monkey Ball running on iPhone. And running really bloody well by the looks of it.

Monkey Ball uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to detect movements, so, just like in the Wii version, you’ll be able to steer your little monkey around by moving your hands from side to side.

Padded lampposts coming to London, for the protection of stupid text messagers

This had better be an early April Fools joke or edgy and underground viral marketing campaign, or society’s in a much worse state than we previously thought.

The East End’s fashionably run down student heartland of Brick Lane is apparently about to get padded lampposts, in order to protect “inattentive” (STUPID) pedestrians from breaking their (STUPID) faces when bumping into them while texting their “M8s.”

Men, in fact, are now so worried about how their growing home cinema setup looks…

In an incredibly unsurprising development at CeBIT 2008, a computer company has announced it’s making something smaller yet also simultaneously more powerful.

It’s AMD’s turn to rewrite the laws of physics, thanks to its two new 45nm Quad-Core processors which the company has given the rather mystical and alluring codenames of “Shanghai” and “Deneb.”

Both are quad-core for ultimate power, both 45nm for extra smallness
