VIDEO: Reverse polarity battery test

Hey everyone. This week’s video is about batteries again, but I’ve decided to do something a little bit different this time. Something exciting. Something dangerous!

I though I’d see what happens when you put batteries in the WRONG WAY ROUND. Will there be a fire? An explosion? Some leaking chemicals? A matter/anti-matter detonation that rips a hole in the space/time continuum?

The InterOffice Envelope Sleeve – yet another hilarious and ironic MacBook Air envelope case

So. To recap. Last week we had the Studio Leung MacBook Air case. Before that we had the AirMail Envelope Case and then something from Belkin.

And now there is this – The InterOffice Envelope Sleeve. It’s another help-my-sides-are-bursting amusing take on the Steve Jobs manilla envelope revelation moment, only, brace yourselves, this one has a ZIP.

ben-heck-xbox-360-mod-elite.jpgYou may well have heard of Ben Heck before – he’s regularly the source of amusement and amazement for gamers across the world, thanks to his love of ripping apart games consoles and rebuilding them in exciting new formats.

Stephen Fry loves his Eee PC – and hates Microsoft

stephen-fry-eee-pc-review.jpgWe already knew he was well up on the mobile phone scene, but now it turns out Stephen Fry is also loving his Eee PC at the moment too.

Writing with his customary enthusiasm, Fry’s latest Guardian column has him analysing the pocket-sized wonder-laptop in immense detail – and slagging off Microsoft’s Windows as “expensive, clumsy, costly, ugly, pricey” while he raves about Eee PC’s awesome little Linux build…

The BBC's iPlayer now works on Firefox

bbc-iplayer-firefox.jpgGreat news. The only time I’ve had to use Internet Explorer so far this year was when loading up the Beeb’s iPlayer to see if the new series of Torchwood was as bad and as homo-erotically-charged as everyone said it was. It was.

Fortunately, iPlayer now works on Firefox. Without any extra fiddling around. Look at that image there – I just took that in Firefox. It worked. There was no fiddling around or installing of stuff. Internet Explorer is now dead to me…
