Creative Zen Stone Plus gives you a hell of a lot for 50 quid
Even though the tiny Zen Stone has only just arrived, Creative’s tireless boffins have decided to up the spec already – adding an OLED screen, doubling the memory to 2GB and including an FM radio and voice recorder. For a tiny, budget MP3 player, the Zen Stone Plus is one hell of a package.
Flash Zune code-named Draco, rumours of sorcery unconfirmed
We’ve covered a lot of the rumours about the new Microsoft Zunes in the works so far, but now word has reached us via Zune Scene that the new flash Zune finally has a name – Draco. The odds of Bill Gates being a closet Harry Potter fan are very slim, so there’s probably another meaning behind the rather-sinister sounding name….
Get your Halo 3 Zune now (if you're in the US)
Oh woe. Woe! Us Brits can’t buy a Zune yet, and it’s still unclear whether we’ll be able to this side of Christmas. For those of us who think Microsoft’s personal media player could – eventually – provide some much-needed competition for Apple’s iPod, the ongoing delay in bringing Zune across the Atlantic is frustrating.

It comes in five colours: black, white, pink, green and blue and with blue LED lights, and features touch sensitive controls, a matching colour earphone reel and buds, and an inbuilt retractable USB plug.

Roll 3, and you have to play the Beyonce album. Roll 6, and it’s Chemical Brothers for the rest of the afternoon. Roll a 1 and, sorry, it’s The Best Of Rene & Renata for you. No skipping allowed.

Microsoft Zune gets a US price cut
Us Europeans haven’t even got our hands on Microsoft’s Zune player yet, and Americans are already getting money off the thing. Bah.
New Tech Digest hero: Microsoft Zune tattoo man
If this man weren’t, well, erm…let’s just say an almost complete opposite to George Clooney, I’d profess my undying love of him and launch a world-wide manhunt to marry him. Instead, I’ll simply give him the accolade of being our new Tech Digest hero. Tattooing yourself with Nintendo graphics? So November-2006-launch-of-Wii. Tattooing yourself with the logo for Microsoft’s Zune, an MP3 player which has only…
