Lasonic iPod holding boombox is ghetto-fabulous
img alt=”ipodboombox.jpg” src=”https://www.techdigest.tv/ipodboombox.jpg” width=”289″ height=”183″ />
When Don Letts answered The Observer’s weekly ‘What would you save if your house was burning down’ question with a lengthy description of his favourite boombox, I doubt he ever considered the fact that another ‘ghetto blaster’ could possibly eclipse his own in terms of cool factor – even if his has been in close proximity to John Lydon and Joe Strummer.
There’s not much to say about this boombox from Lasonic…
Parappa man puts his Musika on iPod
You may not have heard of Masaya Matsuura, but you’ve probably played one of his games – or one of many clones his insane-genius mind has inspired.
Matsuura is the curious brain behind Parappa The Rappa, one of PlayStation’s coolest and most original games. He also made cult smash Vob-Ribbon, in which a vector man ran along scenery
Imagine if Microsoft's Steve Ballmer starred in an iPod advert…
Well, you don't have to imagine any more! Someone's turned the infamous Dancing Ballmer video into a silhouette, slapped a coloured background on, and hey presto – a fake Zune ad that takes Apple's iconic iPod ads as its inspiration. Marvellous. Watch it below.
Shiny Shiny's speculation about the Apple event next week
No doubt the Mac purists are well aware of the big Apple event going down next Tuesday at their headquarters in California, but do they have any inklings as to what will be announced?
Well, I bet each Apple fanboy can ‘feel it in his waters’, but Shiny Shiny has a couple more ideas as to what’s up Steve Jobs’s big black turtleneck sleeve…
Shiny Video Review: Myvu Personal Media Viewer for iPod
Alex whips off her specs and is transformed into an ice-cool comic book superhero. In her imagination. She also tests out some space-age specs that broadcast small screen iPod videos on a virtual big screen…
Griffin announces "iKaraoke TunePrompter" free video creation tool
Griffin has announced its iKaraoke TunePrompter software, a free tool that lets you make karaoke videos from your existing music library. You do need to own the iKaraoke iPod gadget if you want to use the resulting video on your iPod, though the videos can also be used straight out of iTunes.
The software is easy to use: simply load up your favourite song, enter or find its lyrics, and then teach TunePrompter where those lyrics sit in the song by tapping the space bar along to the music.

NikePlus runners clock up 22 million miles
The frankly ridiculous idea of letting your iPod talk to your trainers and then posting all the data online seems to have taken off, with users of the NikePlus service registering a total of 22 million miles total running distance.
That’s the equivalent of running from London to Bristol…
Review: inMotion iMV712 from Altec Lansing
Video iPods are all well and good, until you actually try to watch a video on them, I find. Then, you dice with losing your eye site, headaches and other fun things, as you try to squint. As much as I bemoan the lack of feature films on the UK version of iTunes, I really couldn’t sit through a whole one.
Prince, Maroon 5, Pink, Simply Red and New Order follow The Beatles' Yellow Submarine Apple iPod collaboration!
img alt=”ipodmashup.jpg” src=”https://www.techdigest.tv/ipodmashup.jpg” width=”350″ height=”215″ />
Well, if I were ‘in’ with Steve Jobs and his cronies, that’d be the case, anyway!
My more-than-slightly-dodgy Photoshop of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine iPod last week caused such a furore over the internets, with plenty of sites not only linking to our story, but also pinching the mock-up I created. It got to the point where when Gizmodo linked to us and originally included my ‘mad Photoshop skillzorz’, several readers complained about the quality of the pic, and their Photoshop da Vinci, Jesus Diaz, had to hurriedly create a new one to sate the Apple fanboys’ appetite. I can just imagine the horrified looks on their faces as they realised someone had desecrated their beloved Jesus ‘pod without actually having a graphic design degree. Gasp!
So I thought I’d throw a bit more bleach on your eyes with some more band-themed iPods Apple really should create. Stuff the Beatles’ whole catalogue, who wants…Simply Red’s? Apart from moi?…
