It’s been scientifically proven that 96.3% of all YouTube comments are stupid, but there’s very little you can actually do about it, except for clicking that little thumbs down button. Until now.

YouTube Comment Snob is a Firefox extension that will block you from seeing any YouTube comments that contain “multiple spelling errors, excessive capitalization or excessive punctuation” (e.g. OMG!!!!!! or LOLZ????). Obviously, with this turned on, you pretty much won’t get any comments on your videos any more…

Firefox remains my favourite broswer due to all the lovely extensions you can get for it. Twitterfox, Ad-Block, Pagesaver and Better Gmail are some of my favourites. What Firefox extensions can’t you live without? Let us know in the comments, and maybe we’ll put together a top ten in the near future.

  • Other than uploading and downloading videos the comments never interested me that much. Thanks for the great news because I’m glad I didn’t spend time reading and replying those bogus comments.
