Following hot on the heels of AT&T, casino giant Harrah’s has bought six Surface tables from Microsoft, and plonked them in their Rio iBar Ultra Lounge in Las Vegas.

Just like the telecoms company, Harrah’s has customised the tables with bespoke software, including an application called ‘Flirt’ allowing customers to send text messages and videos to each other. ‘Mixologist’, on the other hand, lets the customers create their own cocktails from the wide range of ingredients. Boy, there’s no love lost between the bloggers at Google Android fansite Phandroid, and Apple, as they’ve published a huge tirade against the iCompany, calling the iPhone 3G “Deceitfully Mediocre”.

In the 1,731 word attack on Apple, they label the announcement the “yPhone OhGeez disaster”, claiming “the product seems rushed to market and unpolished”. Their main points of contention include “the $199 lie”, as you’re charged…

iPhone 3G mobiles already being sold on eBay for £500

iphone-3g-on-ebay.jpg

The iPhone 3G was announced just 36 hours ago, but already eBay has several auctions for people who can’t be bothered waiting in line on July 11th. At the time of writing, there are eight auctions worldwide, with prices ranging from US$350 to £500 (around US$1,000) for the 16GB version.

Each seller promises the handset will be sent to the winning bidder after July 11th, and will come unlocked, which is still an illegal act. Stories have been spreading of Carphone Warehouse and O2 requiring you to sign a contract before you buy an iPhone, instead of signing up for one at home, which looks like it could decrease the amount of jailbroken phones. However, it’s believed iPhones bought on PAYG, or from the Apple stores, need not require a contract signed there and then…

sandisk-sansa-five.jpg

Some might call this range from SanDisk ‘fun’. Personally, I think they’re a visual stick-shoved-in-the-eyeballs, but each to their own. The Sansa Fuze range is finally launching in the UK after being available over the pond since mid-March, but I think the company might have some competition on their hands with the Creative Zen Stones, and Samsung Pebbles. Not to mention those Apple iPod Nanos, either…

Available in three storage capacities – 2GB, 6GB and 8GB, they have 1.9″ colour screens, and can play music plus video. Why you’d want to on a screen that size is beyond me, however. An FM tuner with 40 preset stations, inbuilt voice recorder,…
