Philips doesn't mess about, with the DC185, DC910, DC570, DC200, DC1010 and BTM630 iPod docks

Philips may’ve announced the GoGear SA52 media player, but they still know iPod-friendly docking stations are a clear winner, unveiling four new products today.

With the DC185, DC910, DC570, DC200, DC1010 and BTM630, there’s something for all the dock fans.

Pictured, the DC910 charges as it plays, although I doubt it offers Arcam’s smart technology where it stops charging once the battery is full. If you don’t own an iPod, that’s fine by Philips, as they also have USB and SD card slots so you can play choons thattaway too…

Apologies, this is turning into a Philips-themed day!

The company has just announced the GoGear SA52 PMP, which plays MP3, WMA and AAC music files, along with WMV video. With 4GB of storage and a 2.8″ QVGA LCD display, it also features some controversial audio ‘upscaling’, where the Digital Signal Processor adds ‘quality’ to the compressed audio tracks.

Fancy downloading Spaced, Peep Show and Skins on iTunes? Channel 4 TV shows now available

A huge boost to both Channel 4 and iTunes has been announced today, with the teenager-friendly UK TV network now offering its premiere shows on the UK iTunes.

Classics such as Spaced, Teachers, Peep Show, Black Books, Shameless, Monarchy and newbie Skins will be available for download, at £1.89 per episode, a far cry from the $1.99 the US market pays.

An obvious ploy for recruiting youngsters to download their favourite comedy shows by legal means, the episodes will be perfectly formatted for viewing on iPods. Whether you want Spaced’s Marsha “just popping down to Threshers to do the weekly shop” Klein perfectly formatted is another question entirely…
