Kinect hits UK stores : Prices compared

Share

Microsoft’s long awaited motion controller, the Kinect, has finally touched down on UK shores. A motion sensor that tracks 48 joints on your body, there’s no longer a need for buttons or control sticks to play games, instead with the movements of your body dictating the action.

It’s definately going to be at the top of plenty of Christmas lists this festive season, so we thought we’d do a quick round up of the cheapest offers we’ve found so far.

But hurry, reports are coming in that Kinect units are selling like hot cakes. Get in early to avoid dissapointment.

The Game Collection: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £123.99. (Cheapest offer)

Amazon: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £124.99 OR Kinect, Kinect Adventures game and Slim Xbox 360 for £299.

Woolworths: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £129.00.

The Hut: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £129.73.

Argos: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £129.99.

Gamestation
: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £129.99.

Game: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £129.99.

Blah DVD: Kinect and Kinect Adventures game for £149.99.

There is free postage on all of those offers which means, in most cases, there’s only a matter of a few pence or pounds difference in price. However, do a search for Kinect over at eBay.co.uk and some auctions are finishing for as little as £114, with a £5 delivery cost putting the total price at around £119. Shop around on there and a bargain could await you.

Had a Kinect pre-ordered for months, or managed to grab one at a midnight store opening? What do you think so far? Good enough to defeat the Wii and PlayStation Move? Let us know in the comments below or via our Twitter feed, @techdigestnews.
