Flickr may finally get video capabilities

Web 2.0

flickr_goes_to_the_movies.pngVeteran* photo sharing site Flickr may finally be investing in video, according to an article from TechCrunch.

Last August, owner Yahoo recommitted to introducing video on Flickr, but only now does this seem like a reality.

Rumours are that video could be integrated into the site within three weeks, though the delay thus far could have been about differentiating the service from YouTube. Mind you, how different can a video player be made?

Meanwhile, YouTube continues to evolve with higher quality streaming and greater customisation options.
