I know it’s hard, but cast your minds back to when they were known for stocking all manner of handsets, and not just the Apple mobile. Remember the BlackBerry Curve 8310? You better, as The Carphone Warehouse has some exciting news for potential buyers of this smartphone.

They’ve just selected Telmap to launch their own-branded mobile navigation application, which’ll come pre-bundled with the Curve 8310 handset, already available in stores now.

Like a sat-nav, it can navigate you towards your chosen destination either in the car, or by foot. Now BlackBerry doesn’t have to look on enviously at Nokia’s N95 smartphone, as the Curve 8310 has almost the same amount of features with the Telmap collaboration, with free-text local search functionality, moving maps display and other features allowing your journey to the off-licence to be completed just that little bit easier.
