Virgin Media has announced that it is to cut the monthly subscription price it charges for its V+ digital PVR service.

Hauppauge WinTV tuners now Mac compatible with EyeTV software
Hauppauge has announced that its WinTV digital TV sticks can now be used on a Mac, thanks to new EyeTV software available from Elgato Systems.
The new software means Hauppauge’s range of Freeview and hybrid USB tuners will work on both PCs and Macs, giving live TV and PVR functionality to both sets of owners.

Panasonic has announced their DMC-FX100, the latest addition to their Lumix range of compact digital cameras.
It boasts a 12.2 megapixel CCD and is equipped with a specially designed 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO ELMARIT lens featuring f/2.8 brightness and a 3.6x optical zoom. It features seven elements in six groups, including an extra-high refractive index aspherical lens. and four lenses with five aspherical surfaces to generate high optical performance.
fring launches mobile VoIP client for The Cloud users
From today, mobile users who can access The Cloud’s Wi-Fi hotspots will be able to make free mobile VoIP calls to a variety of messenger networks and fring users, thanks to a customised version of the fring mobile VoIP client.
This joint service, announced today by fring and The Cloud, lets users call and chat for free to users of fring, Skype, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, and SIP contacts, via The Cloud’s Wi-Fi network, as well as other Wi-Fi, 3G, and GPRS networks.
