iphone-1.jpgApple has announced that mobile providers Optus will be selling the iPhone Down Under along with Vodafone as announced on 6th May. The news comes as part of Apple’s non-exclusive deal in Australia.

The phones will be available “later this year” but there’s still plenty of months left until December and those poor Aussies have waited so very long already. It’s expected that by that time Australian telephony giants Telstra will also have got in on the action and that a number of antipodean Apple fans will have expired with “I hate Jobs” scratched into their forearms.
