We flagged up the Kodak Easyshare Z1012 camera a short while back after it got an airing at the PMA trade show. Now we have the UK details – including launch date and (inflated) price.

If you missed it, the Easyshare Z1012 (claimed to be the ‘must have gadget for men this year’ by Kodak) has a 10 megapixel sensor, 12x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation, smart capture technology (which automatically identifies the scene and adjusts the settings), an ISO up to 3200, face detection and a multimedia slideshow that combines pictures with music and effects on the camera.

All that retails in the US for $299.5. But here in the UK, it retails for a more substantial £199.99. And it should be on our shelves from May 2008.
