Apple UK store down, UK iPad pricing / network details imminent?
Take a quick look over at the UK Apple store and you'll see that it's down for maintenance. There's a short message: "We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly". Could some new UK iPad…
Apple to lower iPad price to "remain nimble"?
One of the most welcome surprises from the Apple iPad launch was its pricing. Where rumours had circulated that the iPad could cost upwards of $1,000, it was a relief when Jobs announced that an entry-level model would cost just…
Poll: Which UK mobile network should get the iPad? Orange? O2? Vodafone?
Ever look down at your mobile, see just one bar of 3G coverage, and wonder why you pay the extra cash to even have such dodgy connectivity? With some areas of the UK still receiving woefully poor network coverage, will…

Samsung Memoir gets official
Samsung’s got a decent line in cameraphones going on, with last year’s Pixon and Omnia, and now it’s throwing this – the Memoir – into the mix. It’s got an 8-megapixel sensor, 16x digital zoom, and a xenon flash, along with full touchscreen and aGPS.
There’s five shooting modes, and uploading your snaps to the internet is easy, with Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket and Snapfish integration. There’s 3G for uploads, but no Wi-Fi sadly, so you might consider uploading in low-quality, at least until you can get home. No word on pricing, but it should be arriving this month.
Nokia 5800 'Tube' finally touches down in the UK
We were wondering when the Nokia 5800 was going to show up, but it wasn’t ‘in time for Christmas’, after all. Nokia has just dropped us an email to confirm that you’ll be able to get your sweaty hands on the ‘Tube’ in the UK on Friday 23rd January.
Initially, it’ll only be available in Nokia’s Regent Street and Heathrow Terminal 5 flagship stores, as well as online, but come Friday 30th, it’ll be available from anywhere. Interestingly, Nokia will be selling it unlocked and SIM-free to start with, for £250. I would get excited, but with the N97 just round the corner, the Tube can get stuffed.

Joost opens the floodgates, so you can now sign up (and stop pestering me for invites)
Joost, the online TV streamer which we got quite excited about and then promptly forgot, once we discovered the joys of streaming from Joox, has just been opened up to the public officially.
It’s been in beta for quite some time, with users only able to play around with its nifty interface and sadly uninteresting TV shows, but yesterday on the Joost blog it was announced anyone can sign up. So,…
