Is Xbox One getting semi-transparent tiles soon?

Could Microsoft be planning to give the Xbox One home screen a bit of a refit? Check out the above screenshot that was taken by one eagle-eyed Redditor named “mkmkd”, who was watching a Twitch livestream by Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb and spotted the change. Notice how the tiles, rather than being solid blocks of colour are now semi-transparent. It looks nice, too.

Microsoft hasn’t said anything official about this, and it is conceivable that it could decide against the change – though if it happens, it’ll be an interesting update for Microsoft’s design, and it’ll be interesting to see how it cascades across all of Microsoft’s other platforms. Could Windows Phone and Windows 10 soon start looking similar?
