Tesco is expecting robots, wearable technologies and “cognitive computing” to become commonplace within the next five years, according to the company’s Chief Information Officer.
According to Brand Republic, the executive has been speaking at the IGD Convention, where he has used a lot of business buzzwords to explain the inevitable:
“We’ve only scratched the surface, we’re only just in the foothills of how we exploit technology. In this multichannel age the customer is in charge of the shopping process. The challenge for us is to help out business to make the most of tech.”
