google-android-reader.jpgIt’s been far too long coming, but Google have finally lifted the lid on their native Google Reader app for Android phones.

Thankfully it seems like it was time well spent in the development stages for the RSS reader, as it retains most of the functionality you’ll find in the desktop version.

You’ll be able to track multiple accounts, sync feeds with the desktop version, as well as linking in to your Twitter, Facebook and Gmail accounts to share hot stories with your pals online.

Full details on the app can be found here on the Google blog, while you can pick up the reader for free from the Android Market now.
