Barclaycard and Orange are teaming up to bring their Orange Credit Card app to the iPhone.

The app lets users track their finances on the contactless card whilst on the move, with views to quickly see transaction history, balance, reward points and bills.

High levels of security protocols within the app ensure that your details remain safe should your phone fall into the wrong hands.

Russell Taylor, VP of New Business & Online, Everything Everywhere, the company which now runs Orange UK said: “Orange contactless credit card customers want to take control of their account without compromising on convenience or flexibility. This new app not only delivers on this need, but also demonstrates the next step towards our vision for the future of mobile payments, where consumers will seamlessly make payments on the High Street from their mobile phones.”

Chris Wood, Managing Director of Enterprise Development at Barclaycard, added: “Within the next few years all our UK customers will be able to use their mobile phones to make payments and keep track of their finances and spending. At Barclays we have made significant progress on providing mobile payment experiences to our customers and we now have more than 1.4 million people regularly using our mobile services. This move with Orange today is another step towards making it simpler for customers to manage their money on-the-go.”

The app is a free download, and can be grabbed by clicking here.
