UPDATED: New Nintendo DSi to hit the shelves in Spring '09

As predicted and despite the customary “no comment” from Nintendo, we finally hear this morning that we can expect the brand, spanking, shiny, new Nintendo DSi handheld from next spring. Excellent news.

The DSi will indeed come with a camera and bigger screens, bringing it one step closer to replacing my phone altogether. Those lucky Japanese are getting a taste of it earlier from the 1st November for the very reasonable equivalent of £100 or 18,900 Yen as they call it over there.

Looking forward to getting my mitts on one and having play with the camera. I wonder if any games will incorporate it? Click the image below for a full tour of the little beauty.
