BenQ introduces 8 megapixel DSC X800 – the most compact camera yet?

Can digital cameras get any more slimline? Well, yes they can – this BenQ DSC X800 comes in at just 9.8mm at its slimmest point.

And that’s the biggest selling point here, with the rest of the specification fairly average. That includes an 8 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD screen, digital image stabilisation, VGA movie capture and storage via microSD card.

Expect to see it for sale in the first quarter of 2008, price yet to be confirmed.
