Denon has introduced the DHT-FS3 X-SPACE Surround Bar system which provides surround sound for a home cinema system.
It delivers 150 watts of sound, and features a large-scale enveloping sound field, crystal clear dialogue, and remarkable surround effects, from just a slim bar that works simply by plugging in the audio output from a DVD or satellite box.
The unit features six precision speaker drivers, seven precision digital amplifiers, advanced DSP chips which run the X-SPACE surround programme, and comes with a matching slim subwoofer to provide additional, deep dynamic bass.
It features a Dolby Pro Logic II decoder, and supports the major audio formats.
In September, an additional unit will be available that will allow the unit to run over a Wi-Fi network, for audio streaming and Internet radio capabilities.
As is the way with Denon products, it has many more detailed specifications than I’ve mentioned here. Full details will be available at Denon’s web site.
It’s available now, priced £700.
