The ROLEX Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph

rolex-oyster.jpgOr a “nice watch” as your mum would put it.

The Yacht-Master II makes a big deal out of coming with a “programmable countdown” feature, which, ROLEX engineers will be annoyed to hear, we’ve actually had on our reliable Casio for the last 15 years.

Apparently the ability to count down for ten minutes is handy when in a yacht regatta, presumably so you know when the free bar is closing so can get a couple of rounds of Pimms in before they stop serving at the club house.

The flashy new Oyster comes in two finishes – gold and white gold. Something tells us it may be a little out of reach of granddad’s Christmas present budget.
