Hang on – this doesn’t add up. Buying a protective case for the equivalant of £410 for a music player retailing at £99? That is the case (no pun intended) in Japan.

This Factron case is made of solid titanium, protecting your player and telling the world you have more money than sense. And that you holiday in Japan. Because that’s where this case originates, courtesy of Kiwami Studios. It retails for a massive 99,750 Yen, enough to buy you four nanos. Or indeed, a holiday somewhere warm. I know which I’d prefer.
