Spamtrap is an installation piece monitors addresses owned by the artist, Bill Shackelford. The addresses are known to only contain spam. He parses the spammer contact info out and submits it to spam blacklists, prints the spam, and shreds it. Okay, that’s sort of cool, but isn’t he also making a statement about frivolous consumption of paper, by engaging in it? (Though the paper is also recycled.) [GT]
