Remember the Asus sports car notebooks? And more specifically, the Lamborghini-themed laptop? Well, if you spent a hefty amount on one, here’s the bad news. Unlike the classic car, it hasn’t grown in stature and value, it’s been replaced by an improved second-generation model.
In truth, it’s mainly cosmetic – a metallic keyboard and a leather-bound palm rest below – a touch of “Lamborghini luxury”, so Asus claims. There’s also speakers now placed either side of the keyboard and an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera.
The main specifications are still unclear, but it should be based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor and will ship with Windows Vista. A price isn’t confirmed either, but expect it to at a premium compared to most notebooks out there.
