Fatman iTube available in the UK
First shown around six months back, the Fatman iTube, an iPod valve dock and sound system, is finally available to buy in the UK. But it’s not cheap, coming in at just under £500.
It’s certainly an impressive-looking piece of kit, featuring a docking station that’s compatible with all iPods (except the shuffle) and a matching valve amplifier, which promises a “warm analogue sound” unlike anything you’d expect from an iPod sound system.
The unit also comes with a brush/glove for cleaning, a selection of cabling, including a video cable to connect to your TV and a remote control for all iPod functions. Total power output is 2x 13w. You can pick up an iTube now for £499.99 from John Lewis.
