Beatles music catalogue going online… soon

thebeatles.jpgAn EMI chief has suggested that The Beatles may well let songs from their extensive music catalogue go online, sometime soon.

There aren’t many more details at present, but you can probably imagine that Apple’s iTunes could be some way down the list of choices for services to grace with the legendary band’s music.

EMI Music vice-chairman David Munns made the announcement at last week’s Web 2.0 conference.

A senior Apple exec has said that they’d do ‘anything’ to get The Beatles music onto iTunes. It will be interesting to see which music services do get to sell tracks, and how much of the back catalogue is offered.
