Toshiba has added to its REGZA range of HD-ready TVs with the WLT68 range of TVs, available in 32, 37 and 42-inch models.
The big selling point here seems to be the three HDMI inputs – the first TV to offer so many says Toshiba and good news for the early adopters of HD technology. And if you;re still hanging onto your video recorder, there’s a Component Video input too. The sets also feature Toshiba’s new Active Vision M100 technology, which doubles the signal scanning rate, offering what they describe as the "smoothest, sharpest, most lifelike picture possible" when watching fast moving pictures. There’s also enhanced detail, colour, contrast and movement through Toshiba’s Active Vision LCD picture processing technology.
The new models also feature an integrated digital tuner and good sound quality through a separate bass and tweeter speaker system, which can be enhanced further by an optional subwoofer. Price cannot be comfirmed at the time of writing, but the range should be in stores in the coming weeks.
