What a vintage year for Xbox 360 gaming!
With a nifty new Slim console and ground-breaking motion-tech in the shape of the Kinect sensor, Microsoft pumped out some great hardware over the past 12 months. Games were top-notch too: thanks to the late release of Modern Warfare 2 last winter, many massive titles were pushed into early 2010 to avoid the competition, which has lead to a veritable gaming feast this year.
With so much to choose from, we’ve put together the best cuts of gaming and gear for Microsoft’s console this year to help making those Christmas gift buying decisions a little easier.
In no particular order, here’s our favourite Xbox 360 kit and games of 2010.
Xbox 360 Slim
Slimmer, quieter and with built-in Wi-Fi, the Slim 360 console was a worthy upgrade to the initial Xbox design. With options to boost to a 250GB hard drive and a Kinect port too, it was still a very reasonable purchase with prices floating around the £200 mark. It also all-but solved the dreaded red-ring of death problem by implementing a more hardy motherboard and better cooling systems. Good work, Microsoft!
