CISTRAK - get an SMS from your stolen car

CIS has launched CISTRAK - a vehicle tracking device which allows motorists to locate a vehicle within 10 seconds.

And it's driven by your mobile. Once a car has been stolen, the owner phones the device hidden within the car and an SMS with the location and postcode is sent directly to the mobile phone. You can then call the police with exact details of the vehicle location - unless it gets driven away again that is.

You can also track a vehicle via the internet and set a 'safety zone', with an alert sent if your car goes beyond this area (or in other words, if you don't trust your kids).

It's available at £299 plus VAT (SRP), with no subscription fee for the first year and a subscription fee of £60 per year plus VAT thereafter.
