Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has introduced the Mi 9T Pro as the latest addition to its Mi 9 flagship line.

Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and pop-up camera, the Mi 9T Pro features an 8-layer graphite cooling system and holographic design.

The Mi 9T Pro’s processor consists of an octa-core CPU with a 2.84GHz maximum clock speed and the new Qualcomm Adreno 640 GPU, for a CPU and GPU performance increase of 45 per cent and 20 per cent respectively over its predecessor. It also boasts an 8-layer graphite-stack and bi-directional cooling system that dissipates heat generated during long-term use for maximum performance.

Gaming enthusiasts will enjoy Game Turbo 2.0, which Xiaomi claims optimises the Mi 9T Pro’s touch responsivity, display, sound quality, network, and in-game calls. The feature elevates the device’s touch response rate to 180Hz while reducing click and touch response times to approximately 70 milliseconds to enable the ultimate gaming experience.

Meanwhile, Mi 9T Pro’s 4000mAh high-capacity battery maintains battery life all day long, even during heavy use, claims the manufacturer. The device also supports 27W fast charge, which allows the device to charge to 58% in just 30 minutes and fully charge in 73 minutes.

Mi 9T Pro achieves a bezel-less design with a 6.39” AMOLED FHD+ display and a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. Its DC brightness control setting automatically adjusts brightness to eliminate irritating flickers in low-light conditions, while Sunlight display 2.0 enables easy viewing in harsh lighting conditions.

Furthermore, the Mi 9T Pro is equipped with 7th-generation in-screen fingerprint technology with increased sensor size, improving the unlock success rate and fingerprint recognition speed.

As well as 20MP pop-up selfie camera, the Mi 9T Pro boasts an AI 48MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide portrait camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The steady handheld night photography and motion tracking features let users capture high-quality photos in any setting. Video quality has also been improved with UHD 4K software that captures video at 60fps.

The Mi 9T Pro is available to purchase in the UK on Mi.com/UK and via Xiaomi UK Authorised Online Store on Amazon on 13th September at 2pm. The price will be £399.
