The EZVIZ Indoor Security Cam is an entry-level device for those looking to protect their home and keep an eye on their property when away or on holiday and is available for £39.99 (720p) and £59.99 (1080p) respectively.
Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT devices, the Indoor Security Cam allows users to view live streams via the Echo Show/Spot and Google hub devices, and features a 110/130-degree viewing angle on each model respectively.
The cam includes a magnetic base for positioning in multiple locations in the home while the EZVIZ app allows users to view, listen and speak to visitors, pets or family members via their smartphone or PC/Mac. Thanks to the two-way talk system, users can see, hear and speak via the EZVIZ app to communicate with their loved ones which is possible thanks to the internal microphone that supports audio pickup within five meters.
The intelligent device can also decipher whether some movement doesn’t require an alert, such as pets wandering around at home, thanks to the PIR Sensor. However, when something out of the ordinary does occur, push notifications are sent to the user’s phone to flag that motion has been detected thanks to the heat sensors and settings on the device.
Users can view live footage or playback at any time on the app where they can also set schedules, create detection areas and share previous filming. There is an IR LED to ensure video footage remains clear even at night.
The Indoor Cam comes with a MicroSD slot allowing for up to 256GB of local storage with a MicroSD card (not included), allowing users to choose the option of continuous recording within the app, giving them constant monitoring as well as just motion detection recording. Additionally, users can also subscribe to the EZVIZ Cloud Storage system for larger and remote storage options.
