Amazon’s  Fire TV Stick is now available to buy with the new Alexa Voice Remote with power and volume controls— for the same price of £39.99.

Amazon claims this makes the Fire TV Stick the only streaming media player under £40 with a remote that controls other AV equipment in addition to your TV. Fire TV Stick with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote will begin shipping to customers in the UK on January 23.

All customers can now get 50 percent off the all-new Alexa Voice Remote until 28 January. The all-new Alexa Voice Remote is compatible with Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design). With the next-generation Alexa Voice Remote, just press and ask Alexa to find, launch, and control your favourite movies and TV shows.

And with the new power, volume, and mute buttons, you can control your compatible TV, soundbar and receiver. You can also view supported live camera feeds, check the weather, dim the lights, stream music and more.

Fire TV Stick with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote provides access to thousands of channels, apps, and Alexa skills, as well as favourite movies and TV episodes.

This includes content from Prime Video, BBC, Netflix, ITV, Channel 4, Disney, and others. With Firefox or Amazon Silk browsers, visit millions of websites like YouTube, Facebook, and more. Listen to songs, playlists, live radio stations, and podcasts through services like Amazon Music, Spotify, and TuneIn.
