Nissan introduces e-Pedal technology for one foot driving!

Is driving about to get even easier? Looks like it. Nissan has announced that the next generation Nissan LEAF, launching September 6th, will come with an e-Pedal.

Billed by the Japanese manufacturer as a revolutionary technology that transforms the way we drive, it effectively enables you to turn your accelerator into a pedal that allows you to accelerate, decelerate and stop without having to move your foot across to the brake!

The world’s first one-pedal operation, e-Pedal technology allows drivers to bring the car to a complete stop even on hills, stay in position, and resume driving instantly.

Nissan claims drivers can cover 90% of their driving needs with the e-Pedal, making the process of driving even simpler. In heavy traffic and during city commutes, drivers will greatly reduce the need to shift from one pedal to the other.

The development of e-Pedal technology is part of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the company’s blueprint for transforming how cars are driven, powered and integrated into society. You can see how e-Pedal technology works in Nissan’s YouTube video below.

British roads will be home to more than one million electric cars by 2022 according to Chargemaster, the UK’s largest provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, based on recent market developments. Allowing for a modest increase in adoption, Chargemaster’s projection is based on a growth in electric vehicles of just over 7% of new car registrations.

The UK’s 100,000th plug-in car was registered in May, which Chargemaster marked by driving a fleet of 25 electric vehicles from Greenwich to Milton Keynes, the home of the new EV Experience Centre – a distance of 100,000 metres (62 miles)

  • NISAN have good team to make new car and they always use more new technology in their products. I know there are more people are like to use their car and they find more better facilities in their cars.
