Music streaming service Deezer has announced a partnership with Three to give its mobile customers more on-demand music with unlimited access to Deezer Premium+.

Available to new and existing Three customers on Pay Monthly, Pay As You Go contracts and SIM-Only deals, customers will receive a free subscription to Deezer Premium+ for six months.

Subscribers will have unlimited and uninterrupted ad-free access to Deezer’s 35+ million tracks, 40,000+ podcasts and radio channels alongside some exclusive content, playlists and event access available only to those on the Three network. Three customers will also benefit from high-quality sound, offline music access and personalised editorial recommendations on their mobile devices.

Deezer will also be embedded on all Android devices sold by Three from November, and the partnership will be promoted in Three stores and through digital campaigns (VOD and social). The initial six-month promotion will form part of larger long-term relationship between the two companies that will launch further initiatives together in 2016.

“We are thrilled to provide Three customers the best of music and talk, with the largest music library in the world and over 40,000 podcasts, live football and radio shows”, said Christian Harris, MD of Deezer UK & Ireland. “Three is a natural partner for Deezer, not only do they account for 42 percent of all the UK’s mobile data traffic but they are constantly innovating to move the industry forward.”

“We know our customers love streaming content, especially music. This combined with Deezer’s approach to innovation and doing things differently really attracted our attention above the competition,” said Tom Malleschitz, Chief Marketing Director at Three UK. “Deezer’s impressive catalogue of music from around the world and high quality audio streams complements the service that we offer.”

The UK partnership follows a similar venture with Three Sweden where Deezer saw a significant uptake and positive consumer reaction to the promotion.

Available in over 180 countries Deezer  has over 6 million subscribers worldwide. Customers can cancel their subscription at anytime or continue their service once it expires at a cost of £9.99 per month.
