Which country has the cheapest mobile data?

Which country has the cheapest data? It turns out if you want to get your 4G fix at the lowest possible price, it might be a good idea to go to India or Vietnam, at least according to The Economist.

It seems that the reason for such low prices in India at least is because the mobile market is so competitive. As The Economist notes, there’s eight major players all vying for consumers’ rupees – compared to many fewer major networks in other countries. This perhaps underscores how frustrating it is to see further consolidation over here – with BT gobbling up EE, and Three announcing the purchase of O2, British mobile competition will shrink even more… so don’t expect prices to get much better for us any time soon.
