Check out this awesome “magic” mirror
The brilliant thing about the Raspberry Pi is that it is so small it can be stuffed into almost anything – like this mirror that has been hacked together by developer Michael Teeuw.
It functions as both a mirror and a sort-of heads-up display offering weather updates, news, a clock and even a compliment in the morning (!).
Teeuw details the build on his Tumblr – and its hugely impressive. Essentially the way it works is a normal monitor is embedded in a wooden frame, behind a two-way mirror – so the graphics can get through. The monitor is the hooked up to the Pi, which is simply displaying a fullscreen webpage with all of the data on it.
I don’t know about you, but I really want one. I’ve got the Raspberry Pi… so all I need now is programming and DIY skills and a bucket load of talent.
