Sony apologises for the PSN outage with discounts

Sony has issued a “holiday thank you” to PSN users affected by the hack-induced downtime in the form of five days extra PSN subscription for Playstation Plus members and a 10% discount code to buy stuff from the Playstation Store.

It isn’t immediately clear exactly when the apology bribes will be coming, but when they do users will be able to get 10% off of anything – be it games, movie rentals or DLC.

Microsoft’s Xbox Live service also received a similar hack over Christmas, but the company is yet to announce any apology bribe.
