Huawei has just announced a new tablet designed for watching video – the MediaPad M1. Read on to find out more.

Clocking in at 8″, it is powered by a 1.6ghz quad-core processor and is capable of handling HD video (running at a resolution of 1280×800). Perhaps most usefully for consuming content, it comes with dual front-facing speakers (which is perhaps why it looks a bit like a large HTC One). Camera-wise there’s a 5MP on the rear and 1MP on the front.

Unfortunately, it’ll only be shipping with Android JellyBean – here’s hoping they update to KitKat soon.
