Google Nexus S contracts hit UK

Android, Google, Mobile phones, Tech Digest news

Google’s impressive Nexus S Android smartphone is now available to buy in the UK from select Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse stores.

A top-notch phone that polishes many of the problems found with the original Nexus One handset, the Nexus S has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, NFC and a 5-megapixel camera, all sitting on top of the sleek Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

SIM-free prices weigh in at £429.99, while contracts with Carphone Warehouse see you bag the handset for free on a £30 a month tariff.

Remember to ring ahead if you’re planning on picking up the handset in person though; only “key” stores have on-site stock, so you may have to wait for a home-delivery otherwise.
