iPhone owners are in for a treat today, as one of Square’s seminal SNES RPGs, Secret of Mana, gets ported to the iPhone, iPod and iPad.
First released back in 1993, it’s one of the most revered RPGs of its time, thanks to its lush sprite graphics and action-packed real-time-combat system. It’s now been squeezed onto iOS 3.0 and above devices, with full touchscreen controls.
Priced on iTunes at £5.49, it’s a fair sight cheaper than anyone planning on picking up the original Super Nintendo cartridge. Square fans will also be pleased to hear that the company are extending their Christmas cheer to the Final Fantasy series too, knocking the price of the first two entries into the series down to £2.39. Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes also gets discounted, now going for £2.99.
