Gamescom 2010: Castlevania Lords of Shadow release date set

Konami have confirmed that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be released on October 5th in North America and October 7th in Europe for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

After a handful of failed attempts to bring the vampire slaying adventure series into 3D, Konami hope to have nailed it this time around, bringing in Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame to help keep the project on track.

Following Gabriel of the demon-hunting Belmont family as he looks to bring his wife Marie back from the dead, it’s a more action orientated take on Castlevania, wearing influences like God of War on its sleeve.
