Sony VAIO J series.jpgThe iPhone 4 isn’t the only new gadget sporting a touchscreen today. Take a look at this latest desktop PC from Sony; it’s part of the new VAIO J series, and it’s an all-in-one multi-touch computer with a 21.5 inch 1080p full HD display.

This latest model, aka the VAIO J11M1E/B, is pretty striking to look at with a one-piece glossy black bezel and stand housing both the PC components and the HD screen. Inside there is an Intel Core i3 processor, 500GB of storage space and 4GB of memory, a nVidia GeForce 310M graphics card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an built-in webcam and a side-loaded DVD rewriter. Windows 7 Home Premium comes bundled in too.

The 1920 x 1080 resolution display comes into its own when using the multi-touch features on offer here. You’ll have full multi-touch pinch, flick, swipe and drag controls over all of your files in the Media Gallery player, while YouPaint will let you try your fingers at being a digital Picasso.

No pricing announced yet, but this one should be hitting shelves by July.

  • Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your webpage? My blog is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my visitors would certainly benefit from some of the information you present here.

  • One of the first all-in-one desktop computer I’ve ever laid eyes on the beauty was the Sony widescreen. Almost seven years later, the company’s latest entry brings increasingly crowded market for multi-touch, high-definition multimedia entertainment package, strong and attractive.
