I wasn’t aware the BBC website was customisable until a month or two back. So, I shuffled it around a bit and ended up with something that was pretty much exactly what they’d suggested in the first place.
Now, the same experience can be mine all over again but this time on my phone as the Beeb has launched a beta version of their customisable mobile browser. It’s not got quite the same level of modular play as the full website but you can input your location and shunt around the various news sections depending upon how much it means to you if Tranmere win at home.
The revamp comes at a time when iDevices are responsible for 3% of the traffic on iPlayer. It makes sense for that BBC experience to become as personalised and friendly as possible. Have a play.
