Sony introduces full HD HDR-CX11E Handycam with Smile Shutter

sony_smile.jpgSony has introduced the HDR-CX11E Handycam, the world’s first ever camcorder to feature Smile Shutter, a technology that automatically captures 7.6MP photos when someone smiles, even during movie recording.

Other features include a ClearVid CMOS sensor with Exmor derived technology for full HD video and 5.1 surround sound, recording to a Memory Stick Pro (up to 16GB), a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 12x optical zoom, Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation, a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus widescreen touch-panel and a 7-hour battery life.

The HDR-CX11E is available from August 2008, no news on price.
