As suspected yesterday, Sidekick has formally introduced the Tony Hawk LX to all the Vans shoes-bedeckled Lagwagon fans hungry for a video-tastic semi-smartphone.

By way of T-Mobile, we now know that the LX will have a ‘grip tape-like’ texture on the back, plus eight screws, resembling a skateboard. It will ship with exclusive videos of Hawk skateboarding, plus various wallpapers and sounds. As with all Sidekicks, the full QWERTY keypad will enable easy IM and emailing, and the music player will support MP3 and AAC files. The LX will be the first model to offer the ability to record video, plus play and share via Bluetooth. MicroSD cards are supported, for saving videos and photos.
