proj_design.jpgNo price is mentioned, but on past evidence, you’ll might need a few quid in the bank to pick up projectiondesign’s newly-launched avielo projectors.

The new range uses Texas Instruments’ DLP technology and are aimed at ‘high-end lifestyle and enthusiast users’. Three models are launching – optix, prisma and spectra. The full HD 1080p resolution avielo spectra offers a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and is suitable for screen sizes up to 120-inch diagonal. It also features ‘hand selected’ Signature series projection lenses, high end video processing, and technologies that are directly transferred from professional projectors often used in the movie industry.

The avielo optix also features full HD 1080p resolution, a choice of six lens options, three of which come from the Signature series, suitability for screen sizes up to 180-inch diagonal, and projectiondesign’s patented ‘DuArch’ dual illumination architecture, ensuring that performance is unaffected even in the event of a lamp failure. Finally, the avielo prisma is the entry level DLP projector which features 720p resolution, and is suitable for screen sizes up to 100 inches diagonal.

More on these nearer the shelf date.
