Sony introduces miniature XDV-D500 and XDV-G200 Bravia TVs
Sony has launched the XDV-D500 and XDV-G200 Bravia TVs in Japan, even throwing in recording on one of these mini models.
The XDV-D500 (which retails for the equivalent of £180) features a 3-inch, 432 x 240 pixel resolution display, with 160-degree viewing angle, 500:1 contrast, and a battery that offers 8 hours of viewing. There’s even scheduled recording – up to 10 hours via the 2GB memory. The even smaller XDV-G200 has a 2-inch LCD screen, but has AM/FM radio replacing the EPG and recording. No price for that one as yet.
In their current states, the TVs aren’t compatible for the UK market – but with a bit of tinkering, who knows?
