Still on a Samsung tip – the company announced loads of stuff during its press conference – how about the SC-HMX20C Progressive HD Flash-based camcorder? It’s got a 1080p mode with 30 frames-per-second recording, and comes with a docking station to recharge it or connect to an HDTV to watch your footage.

It also boasts still photography capabilities of up to eight megapixels, although be warned, that’s using “pixel-rising technology” (i.e. it’s not really eight megapixels). Samsung also talked up its ability to record fast motion scenes at 300 frames per second then play them back in slo-mo – with example uses being analysing your golf swing *resists joke about home sex tape money shots*

The on-board flash memory is 8GB, with an additional SDHC/MMC+ memory card slot for additional storage. The camcorder weighs just 10.9 ounces, yet packs in a 2.7-inch touchscreen display, It’s due out in May.
