sony-ericsson-w890.jpgIt’s been a busy night for Sony Ericsson. Besides announcing its plans for PlayNow arena, it’s also unveiled two new Walkman music phones: the W890 and W380.

The W890 (pictured) is a candybar handset that comes with a 2GB memory card, FM radio and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It’s an HSDPA phone for faster browsing and downloading, and comes in a choice of black, brown or silver. Sorry, Espresso Black, Mocha Brown, or Sparkling Silver.

Meanwhile, the W380 is a clamshell phone that comes with a 512MB memory card, FM radio and 1.3-megapixel camera, with the main selling point being the music controls on its exterior, letting you play tunes without opening the phone. It’s also got a feature called Gesture Control, which lets you mute calls and silence the alarm by waving your hand.

Both handsets will go on sale in the first quarter of 2008.
